My Story
With over 15 years in IT and SaaS, my career has spanned large B2B enterprises to dynamic roles in mid-sized cybersecurity companies. I've thrived in environments that demanded constant learning and adaptation, from sales and marketing ops to field marketing and event coordination. Each role offered a unique perspective on the business, fueling my passion for growth and innovation.
Starting a family while navigating my career journey added layers of complexity and reward. The birth of my first daughter marked a pivotal moment, pushing me to embrace new challenges. I transitioned to a cybersecurity SaaS company, a move that not only propelled my career but also helped me combat postpartum depression through extensive travel and leadership opportunities.
As my family grew, so did my professional aspirations. Despite the daunting prospect of managing a team while expecting my second child, I drew inspiration from my mother's balance of family and career. This resolve led to a significant relocation from California to Texas, expanding my role and embracing the adventure with my growing family, including two children and our fur babies.
The pandemic brought unexpected challenges, coinciding with the anticipation of my third child. The desire to be closer to our extended family prompted a bold move back to California, in the midst of leading a large team and navigating the uncertainties of a global crisis.
Seeking a new challenge, I ventured into the startup world, eventually leading a global function. However, the realization that I was living to work prompted a courageous decision to step back, reassess my priorities, and focus on what truly mattered - my family and finding my purpose.
This period of reflection reignited my vision of starting a podcast aimed at empowering young female professionals. Recognizing the industry's gap in supporting these ambitious individuals, I committed to sharing the transformative stories of leaders who navigated adversity and became trailblazers. These narratives, which once empowered me to overcome imposter syndrome, mental health challenges, and the quest for flexible work arrangements, now form the foundation of my mission: to enable others to become the leaders they are destined to be.
